vAuthenticate is a revolutionary authentication script which uses PHP and MySQL for fast processing. vAuthenticate comes with an admin interface where webmasters and administrators can create new user accounts, new user groups, activate/inactivate groups or individual accounts, set user level, etc. This may be used to protect files for member-only areas. vAuthenticate uses a custom class to handle the bulk of insertion, updates, and deletion of data. This class can also be used for other applications which needs user authentication. New for v2.0: Session support, Protection for direct access of files, More member details, Modified DB access method to support latest PHP versions.

This script is an 'out of the box' login system. It is awesome. Saved me a whole lot of time to go around planning my new system and implementing it. And as said in the description, this script is FAST and allows admins total control over their users.

The only VERY SLIGHT trouble with this script is that it wont validate with the HTML validator. But thre is nothing a quick edit and some CSS can't fix.

Overall, this script is a 10/10.

This is simply a wonderful script. I recommend it for both single and multi-area authentication. It's very easy to setup and very easy to customize.
